The Comptroller, Federal Operations Unit Zone B, of the Nigeria Customs Compt. AB Hamisu PSC(+) on.handed over an Iveco Truck with registration number XT 626 ABC ladened with about 200 sacks containing 35 liters of products suspected to be Automative Gas Oil (AGO) each to the Commandant NSCDC Katsina State Command.
The Handover event took place at Customs Command, Katsina on 8 July 2021 in the presence of Ag. Customs Area Controller Katsina Command Deputy Compt. CD Wada.
In a statement signed by Command’s public Relations Officer, ASCI MA Magajl , the handing over of the truck with the suspected products and in the spirit of inter agency collaboration, Compt. Hamisu tasked the NSCDC to futher investigate the source of these products which was arrested along Batsari Yan- Tumaki road heading towards Jibiya on 7 July 2021 at 0200hrs in the early hours of the day.
In his response the Commandant NSCDC while signing the handover document, appreciated the Federal Operations Unit Zone B for transferring the products to his Agency and promised to conduct diligent investigation and possibly prosecute any individual found culpable after investigation.
