Again,Customs in Kwara State Intercepts 54 drums of smuggled petrol

The Kwara state Command of the Nigeria Customs Service says it has intercepted 54 drums of petroleum products at Babanna border in Niger State yesterday.

Information reaching Maritime Security News at the weekend, Coordinator of Joint Border Operatiions against smuggling, Sector -3, covering Kwara State axis, Customs Area Controller(CAC) , Comptroller Mohammed Garba Uba, said that smuggled items worth 1.9 million of naira.

Uba said that the Command was able to intercept the transportation of the 54 drums PMS at Babanna border in Niger State.

He revealed that this is coming only a day after the Command unveiled massive seizures of prohibited items worth over N1.1biliion in Duty Paid Value, DPV.

CAC assured that the Command would continue to engage and sensitise the public on the strategic role of Customs activities to the social and economic stability of the nation.
