Border Operations: Comptroller Uba Meets Kwara State Governor Over Anti-Smuggling Drive

The Coordinator, Border Operations Drill, (Sector-3) division, Kwara State, Comptroller Mohammed Uba has called for greater support and cooperation from agencies of government and public over on-going border closure across the country. He made this call during a courtesy visit of the Joint Border Operations Drill under his supervision, to the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Alhaji Abdulraham Abdulrazaq, on Wednesday, March 4, 2020. Speaking during the visit, Uba stressed the need for Nigerians to support the policy of the Federal Government in monitoring the land borders, in order to prevent prohibited items from being smuggled into the country through the land borders. He also pointed out the urgent need for Nigerians to engage in legitimate businesses and refrain from illicit trade capable of destroying the nation’s economy.
