The Western Marine Command of Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), the amphibian arm of the Service in Ibafon Apapa, Lagos has boosted for massive progress after launching her first sea going vessel in Lagos.
Comptroller Boyiliya Binga noted that the objective of the initiative is geared towards ensuring suppressing smuggling activities on the waters in the entire South Western region of the country and enforcing other extant laws that the Service may assign to it from time to time.
The fight against smuggling activities in the Command under the leadership of Compt. BN BINGA has continued to gather momentum thus ieading to massive seizure despite continued warnings and advises to the smugglers.
Binga encouraged smugglers to stop their evil trade and engage in more meaningful businesses that will benefit them and the Nigerian economy.
The more we make statements, the more they determine to go ahead with their nefarious activities. To this end, the command embarked upon several strategies in curbing this menace.
