We Ensure Safety, Compliance During Sallah Celebration – LASWA

The Lagos State Waterways Authority (LASWA) said it deployed patrol teams to monitor movement of boat operators along the waterways, during Sallah celebration. 
This was stated in LASWA official twitter handle ,@talktoLASWA over the weekend.
You will recall that, LASWA has been engage in sensitization for waterways users to be safety conscious during the festivities and to further adhere strictly to safety rules and regulations on the inland waters
LASWA felicitates with all Muslims across the world especially those whom are waterways users in Lagos State, We wish all a Happy Eid el kabir celebration, Barka de sallah.
We however urge all fun seekers, boat passengers, captains, deckhands and all waterways users  during this celebration to be safety conscious and adhere strictly to safety rules of the waterways at all times.
 
LASWA boss further advised all users  not to over speed, overload or drink alcohol while onboard a boat and more importantly life jackets must be worn and no one should sail at night for any reason. Our patrol team would be on standby as always to ensure compliance and monitoring.
