Smugglers operating within the Western Marine Zone mostly within the Badagry axis Lagos are not finding things easy anymore as they used to. Yes, they are really finding things difficult for one reason.
And that reason is not far fetch.It is so because the presence of Customs area comptroller (CAC) Western Marine Command Ibafo,Apapa,
Comptroller Boyiliya Binga,a man who has chosen to toe the part of
patriotism integrity, sincerity and commitment in the discharge of duties to his fatherland.
The few months this Comptroller has spent at Western marine of the Command of the Nigeria Customs Service is really making a difference as it has been months of counting losses, months of regret and of frustration.Their frustration and set back in their nefarious was as a result of consistent, unresisted and unrelenting anti-smuggling confrontation war waged against these smugglers by men and officers of
Comptroller Binga led management.

The frequent seizures and arrests patrol team of the Command is an evidence that the Comptroller Binga and his management team are all out to root out smuggling activities other malpractices from the
entire Western Marine Command.

Addressing journalists at the Command on Friday in Lagos while destroying the poultry products, the CAC  of Command said that the latest 170 cartons of frozen chicken seized by the patrol team recently
was at the Badagry area of Lagos.
According to Binga, it impounded along Badagry axis in June 12,2019 by the Operatives of the Nigeria Navy and was handed over to us

The CAC, who was represented by Staff Officer of the Command,
Chief Superintendent of Customs (CSC) Saheeb Arisekola said, the
170 cartons of frozen poultry products which was confiscated along
Badagry area Lagos was as a result well coordinated and harmonized mode of operation of arrest and prosecute of our function and by the patrol team of the Command.
”We are not relenting as a Command in our mode of operation of arrest, detain and prosecute”On June 13.2019 the Command at about
200 hours made another seizure comprising of 173 cartons of same frozen product”Speaking about Command’s consistent seizures and arrests of these criminals, their goods and

Then on May 28;2019, we invited you here to witness the handing over of cannabis to officials of National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA). As long as they continue in their illicit business, we will continue to make seizures by arresting, detaining and prosecuting them”.
he  combined value of the items, according to the Command stood at N3,417, 875.00
On the value of the frozen chickens, the Command noted that such resources can be channeled farming and producing chicken and eggs
locally as well generate employment for Nigerians and that no one will harass you.
The Command said ,in its anti-smuggling plans and strategies it had procured hardboard engines for patrol boats, assuring their readiness to fight smugglers to a standstill, CSC the CGC’s said that the  engines had already been supplied to the Command.
He warned the smugglers to think twice over their involvement in such illicit business or else they (Customs officers) would continue to seize their goods.
