The Nigeria Customs Service, Seme Command on Friday handed over illicit drugs to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).
The Customs Area Controller (CAC) Comptroller Mohammed Uba listed the items to include:56 rolls of Tramadol and 43 parcel of Cannabis Sativa( Indian Hemp) by five bags were concealed in a vehicle, was seized by the Command through intelligence.
CAC in a statement said that the Command handed over the seized drugs to the NDLEA Seme Area Commander, Mr Udotong Essien to carry out thorough investigation, in order to unravel the syndicate behind illegal smuggling of such dangerous items into the country.
He urged all smugglers and their accomplices to desist from such trade malpractices and invest their money in legitimate business.
“issuing a warning to those who engage in the act of smuggling to desist from such malpractices and invest their money in legitimate business as the unit has devised other operational modalities that will give them a run for their money and count their loses and finally end in jail.”
