Hoodlums Attacked Edo Deputy Governor’s Press Crew Bus

The Press Crew Bus of Edo Deputy Governor was on the 7th of November attacked at Agege Stadium after a football match between Bendel Insurance Club of Edo and Sparta Club of Lagos after the match.

Our correspondent gathered that the hoodlums demanded money from the press crew and when they were not given they result to attack the bus.

The windscreen, side mirrors and tyres of the Bus marked 02A-07ED were damaged as the security officers stationed at the stadium look on without doing anything until a distress call was made to the Divisional Police Officer DPO Mr. Edobor Pius a Superintended of Police SP in charge of Pen Cinema Police Station who immediately led a team of Anti-Robbery men to the Stadium on sighting the Police the hoodlums took to their heels but 22 years old Ayodeji Olapade was not so lucky as he was arrested by the Police.

When our correspondent visited the Pen Cinema Police Station the investigating Police Officer IPO Sergeant Funsho Akingbehin declined to speak with him and the DPO was said to have gone to State Command

Count 1 that Ayodeji Olapade and others at large on the 7th of November, 2018 at about 18:30hrs at Agege Stadium Lagos in the Lagos Magisterial District did conspired together to commit offences to wit willful damage and conduct likely to cause a breach of peace and thereby committed an offence punishable under section 411 and 412 of the criminal Law of Lagos State 2015.

Ayodeji Olapade however pleaded not guilty to all the 3 counts charges.

The magistrate Mrs. A.K. Dosumu granted him bail in the sum ofN100,000.00 with 2 surety and adjourned the case to 10th of January, 2019.

The accused was remanded at Kirikiri Prison pending when he will fulfill the bail condition.
