NPA Revives NIGOSA, 17 years after respite

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) has resuscitated yearly Nigerian Ports Sports Association (NIGOSA) Game which was last held in 2001, after about 17 years of respite in action.

The Chairperson of the Organizing Committee of NIPOSA, Mrs. Ugo Madubuike, advised the Maritime First that spin-off of the diversion rebuilding, all is currently set for the 2018 version which will hold from Wednesday, 9th and Friday, 11th May, 2018 at the U.J. Esuene Stadium, Calabar, Cross River State.

She featured the commitments of a few identities she depicted as legends and courageous women of NIPOSA (present and past), who might likewise be recognized through a few honors, particularly in such classifications as Outstanding Patrons/Matrons, Active Heroes of Past NIPOSA Games, Stakeholders of 2018 Games, and Participatory Award of 2018 NIPOSA Games, starting with the present NPA Managing Director, Hadiza Bala Usman, and two previous Managing Directors, to be specific Mallam Bello Ibrahim Gwandu, and Engineer Omar Suleiman, and in addition the previous Chairpersons of NIPOSA, Late Mrs. M.I.A. Dan-Princewill and Chief M.K Ajayi.

Others Awardees are the General Manager, Human Resources, Yahaya Gana Bukar, General Manager, Monitoring and Compliance, Mrs. Ugo Madubuike and the Assistant General Manager, Training, Mrs. Patricia Abhow, among others.

The Award Ceremony which will occur amid a Gala Nite will be the amazing finale of the occasion occurring at the Monte Suites, Calabar.
